Mass Arrest of Oromo Extends to Students of Ambo Secondary School
Finfinnee, Nov 12 (OLF News) - According to reports we received from Finfinnee (Addis Ababa) several innocent Oromo nationalists, especially students of West Shoa Zone, Ambo town and its vicinity have been apprehended.
Among the arrested Oromo students of Ambo Secondary School are:
Students Shumi Dandana,
Student Baayisaa,
Student Hinseenee, and
Student Jaarraa Eebbisaa.
It is evident that these Oromo kids and other detained Oromos are being brutalized by the torturing machine of the TPLF regime as several thousands before them have been brutalized over a period of 17 years.
It is to be recalled that OLF News has been continuously reporting the indiscriminate mass detention of prominent Oromos all over Oromia in the last couple of weeks.
The students of Ambo Secondary School have been targets by the current regime since it took power. A notable example is November 9, 2005 in which five students were reportedly shot dead during protests, including 11th Grade students Jagama Badhane, Kabada Badhassa (the late was from Tikur Incini) and a young female student. Jagama was shot in front of Ambo secondary school and police killed two more in reponse to protest against Jagama's death (Reporter, 13 November, 2005). The Sunday Times (10 November, 2005) reported 17 were wounded.
It looks that another wave of mass arrest, brutalizing and probably killing might happen to the students and Oromo nationalists of Western Shoa Zone in general and to Ambo secondary school in particular.
