Widespread Arrest of Oromos in Harargee: At Least 24 Oromos Apprehended by the TPLF / Wayyaanee forces
(OLF News, Nov. 18, 2008) - At least 24 Oromos have been abducted on Nov 11, 2008 from Easter Oromia, Eastern and Western districts of Harargee zone, and their whereabouts are unknown, OLF News correspondent reported from Finfinnee (Addis Ababa).
Among those abducted from different localities of Eastern Harargee zone are:
1. Mr. Jaafar, Gooroo Guutuu district, Baroodaa town
2. Mr. Abdusalaam, Driver of Isuzu car
3. Mr. Mohammad Aamma, from Cinaaqsan district, Ordee village
4. Mr. Joohar, from Baabbilee district, Feerroo village
5. lammii Oromoo, from Qilee village
6. Obbo Abdul Aziiz.
The report explains that close relatives of the above individuals are still searching the whereabouts of their loved ones.
Among Oromos from the city of Dirre Dhawa whose properties are confiscated and thrown to jail on Nov. 11, 2008 are:
1. Mr. Haarun Kadir, Dirre-Dhawaa, Laga harree
2. Mr. Kabiir Ibroo, Dirre-Dhawa, Laga Harree (property confiscated and thrown to jail)
3. Mrs. Fatiyaa Ahimed, wife Kadir Ibro (above)
4. Mr. Abdii Amadee, taken to Saapiyaa prison
5. Mr. Toofiq, taken to Saapiya prison
6. Mrs. Caaltuu,
7. Mr. Mohammad Sheekaa,
8. Mr. Abdii Muummadee,
9. Mr. Mohammad Alii,
10. Mr. Mohammad Abdallaa Ahmad,
11. Mr. Mohammad Haajii,
12. Mr. Getaaco,
13. Mr. Abdii Walloo,
14. Mr. Birraatuu Kabbadaa,
15. Mr. Mohammad Hawaash,
16. Mr. Aliyyii Faxiiraa,
17. Mr. Najjaash Awwadaay,
18. Mr. Abdurahamaan Mohammad
19. Mr. Saabit Abdurahmaa Aammee
The above named individuals are among several Oromos abducted from their homes by the TPLF/ Wayyaanee Federal Police and the so-called “security” agents of the regime under the pretext that they are supporting OLF and OLA. Most of these prisoners, if not all, are brutally tortured in the TPLF/ Wayyaanee detention center.
